Privacy Policy

1. Who We Are

Plan Prospector is a prospecting tool for financial-advisory firms operated by Basic Capital Group Inc. (“Basic Capital”, “we”, “us”). This policy describes what we collect through the Service, how we use it, and the choices you have. The Service is built for business use; we do not direct it to consumers or children.

2. Information We Collect

• Account and workspace information — name, work email, firm or team name, profile details, preferences, and settings you provide when you request access or configure your workspace.
• Product use data you submit — information you or your Team enter or import in the ordinary use of the Service (for example CSV imports, notes, lists, pipeline entries, and plans you designate as current clients or targets). This may include business contact information about third parties; you are responsible for having the right to provide it.
• Public filing data — the plan intelligence in the Service is derived primarily from publicly available U.S. Department of Labor EFAST2/Form 5500 filings and related public sources, which may include names and business details of plan sponsors and signers.
• Business contact and firmographic data — names, job titles, employers, professional profiles, work email addresses, phone numbers, and company information obtained from third-party data providers or public sources.
• Usage data — log data, device and browser information, and product analytics (pages viewed, features used) collected to operate, secure, and improve the Service.

3. How We Use Information

• to provide, maintain, secure, and improve the Service;
• to authenticate accounts and operate your workspace;
• to personalize product features based on account, workspace, and product-use inputs (for example ranking or filtering plans using targets you set);
• to enrich plan or company records with contact and firmographic data when you use those features;
• to understand product usage and prioritize improvements;
• to communicate with you about the Service (support, changes, security notices);
• to comply with law and enforce our Terms of Service.

We process information as a service provider to your firm for Customer Data you submit. We do not sell personal information for money. We do not use personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

4. Service Providers and Sharing

We use carefully selected third-party service providers in categories such as application hosting and delivery, database and authentication, transactional email, product analytics, company and contact enrichment, and optional AI-assisted product features. These providers process data only to deliver services to us under contractual restrictions.

We may also share information with Basic Capital affiliates, professional advisors, in connection with a corporate transaction, or where required by law. As a core feature of the Service, authorized business users on your Team can view business contact and firmographic information for prospecting and research within their workspace.

5. Business Contact Data

Business contact data may be incomplete, inaccurate, or outdated. Inclusion in the Service does not indicate consent to receive communications or imply affiliation, endorsement, fiduciary intent, or willingness to be contacted. Users must independently comply with applicable outreach, telemarketing, privacy, data-protection, and professional requirements (including TCPA, TSR, Do Not Call, CAN-SPAM, and state privacy and telemarketing laws). If applicable law treats a disclosure of business contact data as a sale or sharing, you may request to opt out by contacting us as described below. We do not discriminate against anyone for exercising a privacy right.

6. Retention

We keep account, workspace, and Customer Data while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward for backup, audit, and legal purposes, then delete or de-identify it. Public filing data is retained as part of the Service’s dataset. You can request deletion of your account data at any time.

7. Security

We use industry-standard safeguards, including encryption in transit, access controls, and technical isolation between workspaces. No system is perfectly secure; please use a strong, unique password and report any suspected issue to us immediately.

8. Your Choices and Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to know or access information we maintain about you, correct inaccuracies, request deletion, obtain a portable copy, opt out of certain sales or sharing, or appeal a denied request. You may also use an authorized agent where permitted by law. To protect against fraud, we may need to verify your identity and authority before completing a request. Some information may be retained where permitted by law, including public records, security logs, and records needed for legal or audit purposes.

These rights apply to account holders and to people whose business contact information appears in the Service. Submit a request to support@plan-prospector.com. Please include enough information for us to locate the relevant record. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law.

9. Cookies and Analytics

We use cookies necessary to keep you signed in and first-party analytics to understand product usage. We do not use third-party advertising cookies. See our Cookie Policy for more detail.

10. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted in the Service with an updated “Last updated” date.
